What Information Should Be on a Paystub?

Although there is not a federal legal requirement to provide employees with pay stubs, many states are starting to require them. Your paystub is an important record keeping tool, and you should check your stubs regularly to ensure everything is correct. Double check that your hours and days worked, gross pay, and all deductions (such as insurance benefits) are accounted for.
