PRESIDENT

Sean joined MoneyWise Payroll as an Account Executive in 2000 and quickly found a niche in customer service and database administration. His previous experiences in customer service within a variety of industries made him the perfect candidate for the role of Operations Manager, which he was promoted to in 2002. In this role, he worked closely with Frank Birckhead, the founder of MoneyWise to transform the customer experience, thus guiding MoneyWise to a new level. Following the passing of Frank in 2015, Sean purchased MoneyWise and became the President of the organization.

“I was drawn to the customer service industry because of how rewarding it is to help people achieve their goals. I hope to continue growing MoneyWise one client at a time”, says Sean.

Sean and his wife Jennifer have three children, and they enjoy raising their family in the beauty of the Virginia Piedmont. When he is out of the office, you can find Sean training for fall Cyclocross bike racing in the area.

OPERATIONS MANAGER

Bobbie joined MoneyWise Payroll as a Data Entry Associate in 2013 after moving from Pittsburgh to Charlottesville, VA. With over 20 years of experience in customer service she quickly moved into her current role as the Operations Manager. Bobbie enjoys building relationships with clients and identifying their needs in order to provide a truly VIP customer experience.

As a visionary of the bigger picture, Bobbie is always looking for ways to help others and improve MoneyWise Payroll as a whole. “While my nickname at the office is ‘Queen B’, I take pride in helping the members of our team become better leaders.” Our team here at MoneyWise is what makes us great, says Bobbie.

As a single mother of two she has always been passionate about her family. You will often hear her speak about her son Malique who resides in the VA Beach area with his beautiful wife Elizabeth, as well as her daughter Daisha who quickly earned her place here in the MoneyWise office. “They are my biggest accomplishment, and the most rewarding job I’ve ever had. ‘Mom’ is the most rewarding title I’ve ever been given.” Bobbie enjoys cooking and hosting gatherings. Her favorite color is glitter and appreciates anything that sparkles. As a Pittsburgh native she loves the Steelers, football season, and fall weather.

PAYROLL GENERALIST

Daiquan joined the MoneyWise team in April of 2023. Born and raised right here in the heart of Charlottesville VA. With over 10 years of customer service experience, he aims to find the best solutions for his clients while providing them with top tier service. This former Albemarle Patriot shined in basketball and soccer. He quickly learned that he excels best in team environments. “I’ve always taken pride in helping my peers and going the extra mile to get the job done right.” After graduating from high school, he attended Lynchburg college where he studied psychology.

When Quan is not in the office you can find him drawing, gaming, writing songs and attending concerts. Playing ball, hiking the Blue Ridge trails with his dog Moose are just a few things on his extremely long list of things he loves to do. “Progress has little to do with speed, but much to do with direction.”

PAYROLL GENERALIST

Lee joined MoneyWise as an Administrative Facilitator in 2022 after moving from England back to Charlottesville, VA.  As someone eager to learn about both payroll and customer service, they later transitioned to their current role as Payroll Specialist. Lee enjoys the variation that comes with the day-to-day challenges as they get to be the constant, providing a phenomenal customer service experience. 

Since moving back to the area in 2021, “I’ve gotten a chance to relearn the town I spent a part of my childhood in and see it in a new light. Having the opportunity to not only learn about all the amazing local businesses but to also serve them has been a great experience, especially with the team I get to work with.” When they are out of the office, you can find Lee taking various dance lessons, such as swing and contra. They always make an effort to try something new and appreciate the people they meet along the way.

PAYROLL SPECIALIST

Daisha joined MoneyWise Payroll as a Payroll Specialist in 2021 with an interest in further developing her Customer Service and leadership skills as well as expanding her knowledge of Payroll. “My favorite part of my job is building relationships with new and existing clients. Seeing how local clients positively impact our community is very rewarding. I love being a part of their journey.” When she is out of the office, you can find Daisha spending quality time with her family, friends, and her two cats, Harrison and Keem, who she loves dearly.
